+Day 1Arrival Arusha, Transfer Lake Duluti Lodge
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by a member of our team, who will drive you to your lodge. Renowned as the safari capital of Tanzania, Arusha is tucked beneath the towering peaks of Mt Meru and Mt Kilimanjaro. The town has numerous first-class restaurants, bars and markets to browse, and is the ideal place to spend a few days before embarking on a safari. Spend the night in a chalet at the Lake Duluti Lodge, a charming countryside retreat overlooking the picturesque waters of Lake Duluti. You will be driven to Arusha Airport, where you will board a flight to Manyara Airstrip. Enjoy your first game drive en route from the airstrip to the lodge. The diverse habitats of Lake Manyara National Park range from its Rift Valley soda lake to dense woodlands and steep mountainsides. The park is famous for it unusual tree-climbing lions and vast elephant herds. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds. Large herds of buffalo, cheetah, Masai giraffe and impala roam the lake shores and the forested valley slopes. One of Africa’s most renowned and instantly recognisable safari lodges, the iconic Ngorongoro Crater Lodge occupies a stunning location looking down from the rim to the crater floor. Traditionally styled and wonderfully run, this is a truly wonderful option offering the ultimate Ngorongoro experience. The lodge is split into three intimate camps, with two boasting 12 suites and the other hosting 6 suites; this means that the entire lodge can host a maximum of 60 guests. The camps are all run independently of one another, with their own lounges, dining rooms and kitchens, preventing the camp from feeling too busy. The suites are lovely and spacious with traditional African décor, stunning views and en-suite bathrooms. In the main areas of each camp there is a large open plan lounge, bar and dining area where guests can congregate between activities and enjoy the camp’s superb menu. The lodge offers full day game drives to the crater floor. Additionally, nature walks on the grounds can be enjoyed on the afternoon of arrival and morning of departure when there are no game drives.

Return to Manyara Airstrip, where you will board a flight to Arusha Airport. A member of Ourteam will be waiting to take you to Kilimanjaro International Airport, where your safari with us will end.
