Once on the island, you have the opportunity to feed and pet the tortoises, if you have time you may also like to take a stroll through the forested interior where you will see a wide variety of birds, colorful peacocks, bats, and beautiful butterflies. Keep your eyes peeled too for the shy and elusive Duikers – an unusual tiny antelope species. There is very beautiful minor sandy beach where swimming on the crystal waters is marvelous. The coral reefs surrounding the island provide an opportunity of snorkeling. The giant tortoises: Commonly known as Giant Aldabran. This endangered species came to Zanzibar in the late 19th century as a gift from the government of the Seychelles.

Safari Blue
A full day excursion exploring the very beautiful Conservation area of Menai Bay, south-west of Zanzibar Island. Safari Blue’ departs from the fishing village of Fumba exploring from there the sandbanks, islands, lagoons and wonders of the Bay and the Indian Ocean in the comfort of our traditional dhows. On arrival, our guide will give you a short briefing about the program for the day and safety on board. The dhows are hand built from African mahogany, finished and maintained to the very highest standards. The most stunning natural creations must be the two pristine sandbanks of soft white sand which rise out of the turquoise blue of the Indian Ocean. We stop at one sandbank in the morning to snorkel over the coral reef and then to relax and swim. There we offer fresh green coconuts and a light snack. After snorkeling, if the tide permits, we move on to have lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon on a second sandbank near to the island of Pungume. The sandbanks have been described by many clients as the most idyllic places in the world

Spice Tour
Almost like a big Easter egg hunt, visitors go from plantation to plantation and from plant to plant trying to find the spice within. A guide may use a knife to carve off a root or branch or bark and then ask you to smell or taste it to guess what it is. Use caution with the bright colored ones because turmeric can leave a stain on clothes that will last a lifetime. Nutmeg grows on a tree and is sort of the pit of a fruit that looks somewhat like an apple. The nutmeg trees are huge and the under-forest is dark. Vanilla is a vine that grows on large trees and cardamom seeds grow at the base of large, ginger-cousin light green plant that has shoots or runners from which the seeds are picked. Cinnamon leaves are good for chewing and pepper is hot, green and fresh tasting before it is dried and ground to become black pepper.

Stone Town Tour
The stone town is a unique architectural and cultural mix that has formed over a millenia of interaction between people from the East African mainland, Arabia, the Persian Gulf, India, China, Portugal and beyond. In light of its historical significance and value, the United Nations has declared it as one of the World's Cultural Heritage sites.
