+Day 1Arrival Nairobi, Transfer House of Waine
On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Due to flight connections you need to overnight in Kenya’s vibrant capital city. Enjoy a night’s stay at House of Waine. +Days 2-3Maasai Mara Game Reserve - Angama Mara
Your Safari Guide will meet you at the hotel and transfer you to the Maasai Mara. Enjoy lunch en-route to this Iconic Reserve with some of the best game viewing in the world! Arrive in the Maasai Mara in the afternoon and enjoy a game drive. Spend 2 nights at Angama Mara. Angama Mara is located high up on the Oloololo Escarpment, bordering the Mara Triangle. The lodge is easily accessed by plane from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport, with flights landing at Kichwa Tembo (approximately 45 minutes’ flying time from Nairobi) followed by a half-hour game drive transfer. Angama Mara comprises two separate camps – North Camp and South Camp – with 15 luxurious tented suites in each. Boasting over 100 square metres of space, including the outside deck, each open-plan room has floor-to-ceiling glass frontage with astonishing views of the Maasai Mara below.

Built and run by the Fitzgerald family, Angama Mara sits high on the Rift Valley’s Oloololo Escarpment, bordering the Mara Triangle, Maasai Mara. Serviced by a private hardtop airfield, from the moment guests arrive at Angama Mara they are welcomed into spacious architecture that stresses expanses of open glass and decking from which to appreciate the spectacular views. Inspired by Nairobi’s Muthaiga Country Club, with its old world atmosphere and conviviality, there are a range of excellent dining and relaxation areas as well as a bar.
There is a pavilion between the two residential areas that offers a fitness centre, a large pool, a gallery of local arts and crafts and a workshop in which Maasai women make bespoke jewellery. The property even includes the actual kopje where key scenes from Out of Africa were filmed, and guests wake in the morning to the sight of hot-air balloons ascending over the valley directly outside the windows. Widespread Wi-Fi coverage is available across the accommodation. The sleeping rooms at Angama Mara are extensive: split into two zones and camps, and set along the very edge of the escarpment, there are fifteen suites in each camp, including two family tents in each. Befitting the location, the decor is spare but well-chosen, with floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over staggering vistas. With brickwork inspired by local techniques and polished wooden floors, very comfortable furnishings and massages available in the tented suites themselves, and including all modern comforts and facilities, the rooms leave guests wanting for nothing.

After breakfast, transfer to the local airstrip for your schedule flight to Lake Naivasha. Upon arrival, you will be assisted transfer to the colonial era Loldia House at the shores of Lake Naivasha. Loldia House is an ideal spot to rest, taste the pleasures of Kenyan country life and explore the wonders of the Great Rift Valley. Set amongst a family farm of 6,500 acres on the shores of Lake Naivasha, this charming property is steeped in history and dates back to 1943. Guests are invited to enjoy a gentle pace of life; relax by the pool, take in the views or head out on a game drive.

Today will involve a long transfer by road to one of Africa’s greatest Safari destinations – Amboseli National Park. Made famous through the amazing photographs of the massive snow covered peak of mount Kilimanjaro. Spend 2 nights at Angama Mara which enjoys a unique position in the heart of Kimana Conservancy. With uninterrupted views of Kilimanjaro and the savanna plains, you have constant photo opportunities. Enjoy game drives twice a day. Amboseli is well known for its huge elephant herds. There are also other large mammals such as hippos and buffalo, plenty of antelope grazing on the vast grasslands, and smaller interesting wildlife like hyena, jackals, warthogs and monkeys to add to the variety.

An overnight stop to break the long journey back to Arusha, Tarangire National Park is a couple of hours away from the Crater Conservation Area. The Tarangire National Park is home to one of the largest elephant populations in Africa and lots of birds. - a great way to unwind and end off your safari. One of the lesser-known game reserves in Tanzania, Tarangire rivals the Serengeti in the great number and diversity of its wildlife.
It is a good choice for travelers who wish to encounter more animals (particularly elephants as its renowned for frequent sightings) and less tourists while on safari. The Tarangire National Park is also known as a wonderful birding destination. During the dry season, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the area, which offers excellent sightings as it attracts the reserves abundant wildlife. The landscape is a photographers dream too, due to the high number of scenic baobab trees and its extensive marshlands that turn swathes of the reserve

With only six tented suites on offer and located in a private reserve adjoining Tarangire National Park, Nimali Tarangire is perfect for privacy-seeking and discerning safari travellers. A destination that is generally part of the northern Tanzania safari circuit, Tarangire is less than a 3-hour drive from the international airport at Arusha, making the park and Nimali Tarangire a convenient start to your Tanzanian safari. The camp is set on the thickly vegetated banks of a seasonal river; the use of natural materials and canvas ensures Nimali Tarangire blends into this primal and untouched landscape. Solar power provides electric lighting and battery-recharging points for your camera and mobile phone, and there is limited Wi-Fi access. The intimate nature of such a small camp and its devotion to personalised service means Nimali Tarangire is a good choice for honeymooners and couples. Two of the suites are set close to each other for a family or small group travelling together to use, and there are baby cots and high chairs available for those travelling with infants.
Closed only in April and May during the ‘long rains', Nimali Tarangire lies in a small private reserve where you can undertake guided nature walks and night drives. Best known for its large elephant herds and tree-climbing lions (they rest in the boughs to escape the heat), Tarangire offers classic savannah species plus a few of East Africa's more unusual ones, such as the long-necked gerenuk, which can stand on its hind legs for minutes at a time to reach fresh leaves. Home to all the big predators and over 500 bird species, this is a reserve can also be explored by hot-air balloon and on foot. Nimali Tarangire offers day tours to Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater, and you can also experience a taste of local culture at a nearby Maasai village.
